The CRAOL Féile 2010 is to be hosted by Flirt FM in Galway City over the weekend of 29th-30th May. This, the 8th Annual Féile is the flagship event of the community radio calendar and is made possible with the support of the BAI. It brings together staff, senior volunteers and board members of Community Stations across Ireland to participate in workshops dealing with all aspects of Community Radio.

At this point, we’d like to invite Galway Students to apply for places on the training sessions. Places are limited and will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Attendance is free, but places must be booked by Thursday 27th of May by 5pm.

To book, please download the full course descriptions here, and e-mail your four session choices to feile@craol.ie.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to drop into the station or send us an e-mail.

What does lazer-eye baby have to do with the end of year party you ask? Nothing really, we just liked the wee chap...

Anyway, the Flirt EOYP 2010 is happening on Thursday 20th of May at 7pm in Áras na MacLéinn - we'll be heading on to town afterwards (Le Galaxie and Grand Pocket Orchestra are free at the Róisín Dubh, coincidentally!).

The weekend of the 29th & 30th of May will bring all the community radio stations in the country together in Galway for workshops and networking. There will be up to 20 training sessions over the weekend ranging from Social Media to Sound & Vision funding to Advanced Production Skills.

We're incredibly lucky to have great facilities available to us in Áras na MacLéinn, which will hold 120 volunteers and station staff from licenced and aspirant stations. NUI Galway students interested in attending sessions should e-mail or call into the station.

The brochure/booking form has been launched, you can download by clicking the image to the left, and copies will be e-mailed out to member  stations.

Friend us on Facebook to be provided with up to the minute news. See the CRAOL site for more information on community radio in Ireland.
